What we do
Aplace2land is an aviation photography website, online since 2020. We publish photo reports from NATO and international exercises, base visits to military airbases, airshows and special events, together with aviation news from around the world and from Italy.
Fabrizio Capenti
Aerospace engineer and founder of Aplace2land. I have followed aviation since my teens, and military aircraft have always fascinated me. I combined my passion for photography, taught to me by my father, with my passion for aviation. As a boy I often rode my bicycle to Venegono Airport to watch the military jet trainers.
Now I spend my free time travelling the world, taking photos around airports and inside military airbases. I love sharing my passion and my photos with others, and after many years I still get excited when I see a plane take off.
Simone Previdi
Airline pilot and writer for Aplace2land. My passion for aviation grew after one of my first flights as a child, and I combined it with one of my favourite hobbies: photography.
Tiziano Capenti
Father of Fabrizio, I love photography, especially macro photography, and I passed this passion on to my son. When he started photographing aircraft I was sceptical, but over the years I became more and more involved, and with Fabrizio I began travelling around Europe to catch particular aircraft. Now I’m retired, so I can dedicate a lot of time to aircraft photography and to contribute with new photos to this website.
