2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how personal data are processed when you visit aplace2land.com, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Italian data protection law.

3. Data we process, why, and for how long

Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, your email address and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you. Legal basis: your request and the consent you give by sending the form. We keep the message for the time needed to reply and, afterwards, for no longer than 2 months, unless a longer period is required by law.

Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, we process the name, email address, website (optional), IP address and the content of the comment. Legal basis: your consent. The comment is kept until you ask us to remove it.

Visit statistics (Jetpack Stats). We use Jetpack, a service provided by Automattic Inc., to measure how the website is used: pages viewed, referring sites, approximate country and device type. The data are used in aggregate form. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to analyse the use of the website. It sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) and processes information such as the pages you visit, your approximate location and the type of device and browser. Google Analytics is activated only if you give your consent through the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent.

Images delivered through Jetpack (Site Accelerator). Many images on this website are delivered through Jetpack’s content delivery network (addresses starting with i0.wp.com). To do this, your IP address and browser information are processed by Automattic to deliver the images quickly and securely. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a fast website.

Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Bluehost) records technical information such as IP address, date and time of access and pages requested, for security and proper operation of the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Cookie choices. The cookie banner stores your choices in a cookie, so that we remember your preferences.

4. Cookies

The website uses:

• technical cookies, needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices. They do not require consent;
• analytics cookies (Google Analytics, and Jetpack Stats where applicable), which are used only after your consent when required;
• cookies from embedded content (for example YouTube videos), which may be set when you load or play the content, after your consent when required.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Google, Meta, Automattic) are based in the United States. Transfers of personal data are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, where applicable.

7. Recipients of your data

We do not sell your personal data. Your data are accessible only to me and to the service providers listed above, who act on my behalf or as independent controllers.
